The Large-Scale Structure of the Universe 🌌

Beyond individual galaxies, the universe is organized into a massive, interconnected cosmic web. Galaxies aren't scattered randomly; they are grouped together by gravity.

Galaxy Clusters: These are groups of galaxies containing up to a few thousand members. Our own Milky Way Galaxy is part of the Local Group, which also includes the Andromeda Galaxy and about 50 other smaller galaxies.

Superclusters: These are even larger structures, containing tens of thousands of galaxies. They are the largest known structures in the universe. Our Local Group is part of the Virgo Supercluster.

This large-scale structure is believed to have formed from tiny fluctuations in the early
