The Hubble Space Telescope is a large telescope that was launched into low Earth orbit in 1990. It's named after the famous astronomer Edwin Hubble. Its main purpose is to take incredibly clear pictures of space, helping scientists study distant galaxies, stars, and planets.

Why Is It So Important?

Hubble is crucial for two main reasons:

Clarity: Unlike telescopes on Earth, Hubble orbits above the atmosphere. This means its images are not distorted by air pollution or turbulence, so they are much sharper and more detailed.
