7th Part

Uranus 🪐

The next planet is Uranus, the seventh planet from the Sun. It is the third-largest planet in our solar system and is known as an ice giant because it's made up of a thick, slushy fluid of water, ammonia, and methane. The methane in its upper atmosphere gives it a distinct blue-green color.

Uranus is most famous for its extreme axial tilt, which causes it to rotate on its side as it orbits the Sun. It was the first planet to be discovered using a telescope, in 1781. Like the other gas and ice giants, it has its own faint ring system and a family of moons.
